THANKSGIVING

Because I am currently living in Flagstaff, the upcoming holidays have been nothing but hard. I miss being at home with my family and getting the house decorated for the particular event. Needless to say, I was counting down the days until Thanksgiving break and NOT because it meant no school for almost a week, but because I couldn't wait to get home and have a touch of "normal" again.

Thanksgiving was amazing. The only thing that could have made it better was if my brother-in-law was not spending it at the fire station, but duty calls. I was grateful to spend time with my very pregnant sister, wonderful parents, crazy brother, the beautiful Ashley, and my amazing Grandpa. He is the best cook ever! I don't know what Thanksgiving would be like without his turkey. I am so very thankful for my supportive family and all that they have done for me in the 20 years that I have been on Earth.

Christmas break is vastly approaching. This means the last two weeks will be full of stressful studying and praying that the hardwork throughout this semester pays off. Once hell week is over, I will be headed back down the mountain to spend a full MONTH with my beautiful, crazy, loud, and loving family. Most importantly, we will be awaiting the arrival of the first grandbaby/niece/nephew of the Sunder family. What a wonderful Christmas present that would be!

Fire Academy Visit to Daddy

This past weekend on my visit back down to the valley, I decided I wanted to visit my daddy at the fire academy because they were doing a live burn. Plus, I hadn't seen the new academy yet and wanted to see what all the hoopla was about. It is very spiffy! So Mamma and I brought down her delicious brownies that are a huge hit with all the boys/girls in the academy, if they get any before the interns and volunteers eat them all! But, I was most excited that I got to see my daddy in action and spend some time with him because he has a very demanding work schedule between the fire department and teaching. He's an amazing man and I am so proud of him! I will always be his little booter!

Boredom

What does one do with their roomie when you're bored? You would think study, get ahead on homework or do the homework you're putting off....but not this crazy duo. We make videos to little kid movies/raps :)

AUNT TO BE

My beautiful sister is due to have her first baby in January of 2011. Needless to say, the whole family is ECSTATIC! The first niece/nephew for my brother and I, the first grandchild for my parents, and the first great-grandchild for my grandpa. She has stuck to her word and will not find out the gender of the baby, which is killing a lot of us! However, it is making it quite interesting and allowing people to place bets on what it will be when it graces us with their presence :) The mamma to be is pulling for a girl, but she will be happy as long as it is healthy! The amazing baby shower took place about a week ago and it was the event of the year (unless the baby decides to come before 2011 that is)! Just as her wedding was last year! We had family in town from California and even Cape Cod, talk about love! As soon as I got home from Flagstaff, I was put to work by the Grandma To Be which was expected! I was here to help plan the best dang baby shower for my sister and her baby! PLUS, I needed to score points so I get the title of God-Mom ;) After the slightly stressful planning, it was finally time for the shower. Everything went smoothly and looked fantastic! The food was delicious, the decorations were adorable and creative, the games were fun, and the house was full of joyous voices all there to support the Mommy To Be!

I BLEED BLUE AND GOLD

At the end of August I packed up just about every belonging I had in my room at the house I have lived in for the past 17 years and unpacked it in my new residence, Flagstaff, Arizona. I took a giant step towards my future and transferreed from Paradise Valley Community College to Northern Arizona University. PVCC was good to me, but it was time to move on to bigger and better things to get this degree in Elementary Education finished! Don't get me wrong I love school, but I am so ready to be in my own classroom doing what I was meant to do. Let's just say I was nervous about the move. I was leaving my home, my family, friends, my comfort zone and venturing into a brand new and smaller city, new people, new WEATHER, and the life of being on my own. So far I think I have adapted quite well, still getting used to the climate change though, LOL. This transition in my life wouldn't have gone as smooth if it wasn't for my amazing, loving, and supportive family. I LOVE YOU GUYS!

I CRACKED

So I decided to attempt this whole blogging thing. I'm not sure how long I will last, let alone how updated I will keep it. Yes, that is hypocritical of me considering I always get on my sister and family friend when they do not keep their blogs up to date! I'm not quite sure what I am going to blog about yet as well, probably useless college experiences :) So if you are not interested in that, then do not waste your time reading this blog, kay thanks! <3
